Conveyancing & Property

We are registered conveyancers. We handle the legal process of transferring ownership rights, interests and title in immovable property, the registration of all forms of bonds, and the placing of caveats to protect our clients’ interests.

Transfers & registrations

  • Transfer of ownership in residential, commercial and agricultural property
  • Sectional title registration and transfer
  • Mortgage bonds, surety bonds and notarial general covering bonds
  • Cancellation of bonds and consents to cancellation
  • Notarial deeds, servitudes, usufructs and leases
  • Placing and uplifting of caveats

Why it matters

  • Title only passes on registration in the Deeds Registry — not on signature of the agreement of sale
  • Defects in the chain of title surface years later, usually at the worst possible moment
  • A properly drawn agreement of sale prevents most conveyancing disputes before they start
